What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Learning Management System (LMS)

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
–Send you information about your account and order
–Create your account for our LMS
If you register a free account then we will store your email address.
We store information about you for as long as your account exists.
We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable).
We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When visitors send information via a contact form on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

Purchasing and Payments

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We collect information about you during the course purchase process and share it with the processing platform Stripe.com, as well as information relating to your course progression and quiz performance.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Group Leaders can access:
–Order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress and username / email address.
Any additional information added in your User Profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. We will send you a verification email, which you need to confirm before we deliver any kind of personal information to you.

You can request to delete all the information we have collected about you by sending an email to deleteaccount@lean-interim.com from the email address you have registered with us.  We will send you a verification email, which you need to confirm before we delete the set of information about you which are not required to keep on record for book keeping and tax purposes.

How we protect your data

You data is protected via a secure and encrypted database, hosted in Germany, a country with very strict data privacy regulations. The interface is via SSL secured. The staff is trained and access to personal data is limited.

What third parties we receive data from

We might receive a list of potential training participants from your employer who signed up with us to deliver a training program to you.
We receive payment confirmation from our payment gateway stripe.com.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Beside tracking the progress for your on our training platform, the Learning Management System will automatically create a certificate with some of your personal data for you in case you passed the final course exam.Payments
